I’m not a guru. I don’t have a Lamborghini parked outside, I don’t stand in front of rented mansions, and I definitely don’t wave around screenshots promising you “$10K in 30 days.”
What I do have is the battle scars from years of late nights, wasted money, and endless frustration trying to figure out how to actually make money online.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, stuck, or lied to by people selling “secrets,” I’ve been in your shoes.
And that’s exactly why I created Taking Action Online.
I’ve earned my stripes not by being flashy, but by being honest.
I call myself the “anti-guru” because I’ve rejected the hype-filled, smoke-and-mirror tactics that dominate this industry.
Instead, I teach practical steps, set realistic expectations, and give you a roadmap that works for real people with jobs, families, and bills to pay.
That means I’ll tell you the things others won’t. Like how success takes years, not days. Like how there’s no shortcut that saves you from the work.
Like how sometimes you’re not failing because you’re “broken,” but because the system you’ve been taught is designed to fail.
It’s not always what people want to hear, but it’s what they need to hear.
And that honesty is why my message resonates with beginners who are tired of wasting time, money, and hope.
It's all about honesty and value in my playbook - you'll see it in every in-depth guide, every quick tip I share.
I've established a strong rapport with those new to marketing, providing them a sturdy foundation and a realistic roadmap to success, far from the overblown promises of instant wealth.
My philosophy is centred on consistent action and building a sustainable business over time.
And it's this approach that has resonated deeply with those searching for a reliable and honest mentor amidst the complex world of affiliate marketing.
I tell the truth, even when it hurts.
Sometimes that means telling you that success will take years, not days.
Sometimes it means calling you out when you’re avoiding the real work.
But it also means I’ll give you a proven path, answer your questions personally, and keep you focused on what actually works.
I’ve helped thousands of beginners gain traction online. Not because I’m special - but because my system is simple, realistic, and built for the average person."
In 2012, I was working as a baker, running my own little tea room. My days were long, hot, and repetitive. And like many entrepreneurs, I craved something more.
One day, I came across the classic advert we’ve all seen: some smiling guy promising “$1000 a day” with no effort.
I ignored it at first, but the idea stuck. I’ve always been drawn to business, and the thought of earning online while breaking free from the bakery grind was intoxicating.
So I jumped in.
What I found was a world where 90 percent of people were scammers and 10 percent were barely scraping by.
I bought course after course, fell for shiny promises, and spent thousands of pounds I couldn’t afford to lose.
Every night, I’d close the bakery, drag myself home, and sit up until 2 or 3 in the morning trying to “crack the code.” I’d test systems, follow gurus, and refresh my PayPal account, hoping this time would be different. But the sales never came.
The truth is, I tried almost everything you can imagine. Between 2012 and 2016, I threw myself at:
Blogging
YouTube channels
Social media “growth hacks”
Viral plugins
Platinum level software
White label software
Reseller products
PLR systems
Google hacks and “Google Sniper” tactics
Dropshipping stores
Importing goods from Chinese factories to sell on Amazon
eBay reselling, including pallets of ex-catalogue stock from Asda
eBay store setups
Software arbitrage
Freelancing
Freelance arbitrage
Solo ads
Safelists
Paid-to-click sites
Paid-for-surveys
Gumtree spamming
Forum spamming
Auto-posting to Craigslist with dodgy WordPress plugins
Viral WordPress auto-blogging plugins
And that’s just what I can remember. The reality is, there were probably another twenty experiments on top of that list, and within each of those, another twenty variations.
Each time I thought I’d found “the thing,” I’d end up disappointed. And each failure dug the hole deeper. I was embarrassed, furious, and constantly asking myself if I was the problem.
Looking back, I see it differently. What felt like endless failure at the time was really me racking up reps, stacking skills, and slowly building experience that I couldn’t yet recognise.
But in those moments, it just felt like failure because I realised I was doing what every beginner does.
I was chasing shortcuts. I was dabbling in ten different directions instead of committing to one. And I was building on sand, not on rock.
There was one night I’ll never forget. I’d just blown money on yet another “done-for-you” funnel that promised riches.
I sat staring at the screen, exhausted, broke, and furious at myself. I felt like I’d wasted years of my life and had nothing to show for it.
That was the moment I decided to stop chasing easy wins. If I was going to make this work, I had to strip everything back to the basics.
No more shortcuts. No more hype. Just a simple, repeatable system.
That shift changed everything.
I stopped obsessing over quick fixes and started building real assets — content, websites, email lists — the kind of foundations that last.
It wasn’t fast. It wasn’t glamorous. But step by step, it worked.
That turning point came in August of 2016!
And sure enough, within six months, I was making more money than I had in the previous four years combined.
Those four years weren’t glamorous; they were brutal.
Four years of failing again and again, of staying up late, of wasting money I didn’t have, of feeling embarrassed, furious, and depressed.
At the time, it felt like pure failure. But looking back, every one of those late nights and wrong turns was building something I couldn’t see — the reps, the skill set, and the resilience I needed to finally break through.
By 2017, my little YouTube channel had started to grow, and my inbox was overflowing with questions from people who were sick to death of being ripped off by shady gurus.
They didn’t want hype or fairy-tale promises. They just wanted someone to show them how to actually get traffic, leads, and sales without all the nonsense.
At first, I tried answering one-on-one. I’d record free tutorials, explain the basics, and walk people through what was working for me. But as the questions kept piling up, I realised it wasn’t scalable.
People needed structure. They needed a complete path, not scattered advice.
So I sat down and started creating step-by-step training modules. Not fluff. Not “mindset only.”
Core skills. Real marketing techniques. Straightforward tutorials that a beginner could follow. That became my first ever product: Taking Action Online.
I launched it in 2018, and since then it’s grown into my main core program.
Over 30,000 people have been through it in one form or another. There are more than 3,000 videos in my Vimeo folder, but don’t panic, you don’t need to watch them all.
That number is simply the legacy of years of updates, replacements, workshops, live calls, and refinements.
What you’ll follow is a clear, streamlined path designed to get you from zero to a functioning online business without the distractions or dead ends.
And that’s the whole point. Taking Action Online fills a gap in the market.
It’s for the person who’s tired of the bullshit. Tired of empty promises. Tired of being sold a dream that never comes true.
If you’re sick of the lies and you just want a simple, honest framework to follow, this is where you’ll feel at home.
The flagship of TAO is the six-month blueprint, a structured plan that walks you through building a real business step by step.
Not theory. Not hype.
Actual tasks you can complete in short, focused sessions, even if you have a job, kids, or a busy life. By the end of six months, you’ll have the base for consistent content, a growing list, and a system that produces leads and sales without the chaos.
This is why I created TAO.
Because I knew there were thousands of people out there like me, people who just wanted the truth, who wanted to stop wasting years of their life chasing shortcuts, and who needed someone to finally give them a straightforward path.
In 2019, I created a standalone course called The Simple Traffic Blueprint. It was built around one idea: the most beginner-friendly way to make money online was not complicated funnels or expensive ads, it was using YouTube to create simple videos that actually solved problems.
This course struck a chord. More than 2,000 people bought it, and for many, it was their first time making money online.
But what mattered most to me was the feedback. People were relieved that someone was finally showing them a clear, no-nonsense approach instead of drowning them in tech or hype.
In 2020, I followed it up with The Advanced Traffic Blueprint. This wasn’t about “getting rich quick”, it was about learning how to create real product reviews, drive traffic to affiliate offers, and build an audience the honest way.
ATB was built around transparency, even if that meant saying, “This will take you months and years, not days.”
Then in early 2021, I launched The Simple SEO Blueprint. SEO had always been a game-changer for me, free traffic that compounds over time, and I wanted to make it accessible to beginners.
More than 600 people joined in the first week. Again, not because it was glamorous, but because it worked.
During those years, I realised something important. People weren’t failing because they were lazy. They were failing because they were overwhelmed, misled, and chasing systems that were never designed to help them.
My job was to cut through the noise and give them a clear, focused path.
In 2019, I launched my very first coaching group. Over the three years it ran, more than 50 people joined. But this was not just another program on Zoom or a string of calls. I wanted to prove how deeply committed I was to their success.
So I made a decision that shocked most people, I travelled around the world to meet many of these students in person, covering every cost myself.
It was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life. For the first time, I got to sit across the table from the people I had been coaching online.
I listened to their stories, their struggles, their frustrations, and their small wins. I saw with my own eyes what failure actually looks and feels like when it belongs to someone else.
The truth is, failure is universal, but it never looks the same. Some people carried it with quiet frustration. Others wore it openly with tears or anger.
Everyone felt the same process of stumbling and falling, but each person experienced it in their own unique way.
Those three years of coaching taught me more than any course, book, or program I had ever taken. I learned as much from my students as they did from me. I saw what holds people back, what pushes them forward, and how mindset, discipline, and resilience can change everything.
Some of those students went on to make many thousands of dollars online. Others struggled and never quite broke through.
Both groups taught me lessons that I still carry today. Coaching was never about chasing numbers.
It was about connection, growth, and seeing what really happens when people put themselves on the line to build something of their own.
In 2021, I did something that surprised even me. I went back to being a student.
I joined Jon Penberthy’s Platinum Mastermind, a 12-month program focused on scaling from six figures to seven.
It was humbling. I’d already built a name for myself, but this reminded me that no matter how far you go, there’s always more to learn.
Scaling is hard. Growth is uncomfortable. But pushing myself into that discomfort gave me the tools I needed to not just survive, but to grow.
By 2023, I was restless again, not in business, but in life.
I sold my home, gave away nearly everything I owned, and left the UK to become a digital nomad.
It wasn’t an easy decision. It meant walking away from stability, from family, and from the comfort of the familiar.
But it also meant freedom. The chance to live on my own terms, to explore the world, and to build my business without the weight of the UK tax system dragging me down.
Since then, I’ve worked from Italy’s cobbled streets, Greece’s ancient ruins, Serbia’s riversides, Thailand’s buzzing cities, and Vietnam’s chaotic motorbike jungles.
I’ve hiked through Bulgaria’s mountains, wandered Oman’s deserts, and soaked in the cultural clash of Turkey.
It’s not all sunshine and Instagram moments.
Some nights I’ve sat alone in a small room, battling dodgy WiFi, missing family, and questioning if I made the right choice. Nomad life gives you freedom, but it also forces you to confront yourself in ways you never expect.
That struggle is part of the story. And it’s the same in business. Freedom doesn’t come easy. But it’s worth it.
In early 2024, I made one of the biggest business decisions of my life. I moved Taking Action Online’s base to Dubai.
This wasn’t about palm trees and luxury. It was about strategy.
The UK system was suffocating - heavy taxes, endless restrictions, and layers of bureaucracy. Dubai offered me a way to run my business with simplicity, lower taxes, and more freedom to invest and grow.
The decision wasn’t easy. Leaving the UK completely meant closing a chapter of my life. But I’ve always believed in building the future instead of clinging to the past.
Now in 2025, I’ve lived and worked across more than a dozen countries.
Each place has left its mark. Italy’s rhythm taught me to slow down. Vietnam’s chaos taught me resilience. Indonesia’s calm reminded me why I started this journey in the first place - freedom.
But no matter where I’ve been, the mission hasn’t changed.
Taking Action Online is still alive, still updated, and still helping beginners cut through the lies and start building something real.
Because I know how it feels to waste years chasing shortcuts. I know how much it hurts to lose money you couldn’t afford to lose. I know what it’s like to stay up until 3 a.m. working, only to feel like you’re getting nowhere.
That’s why I’ll never sell you hype. I’ll never promise you easy riches. And I’ll never stand in front of rented cars pretending to be someone I’m not.
What I will do is give you a path that works. A system built for real people with real struggles.
Something you can follow step by step, even if you’re starting from nothing.
If you’ve read this far, chances are you’re tired of being lied to. You’re sick of empty promises, fake screenshots, and gurus telling you what you want to hear instead of what you need to hear.
You don’t need another “secret system.” You need the truth.
And the truth is simple: success is possible for you, but only if you’re willing to take consistent action, stay focused, and build real assets that last.
That’s exactly what I teach. That’s why I created Taking Action Online.
Because you don’t need hype. You need a guide who has walked the road, made the mistakes, and built something that lasts.
And that’s me.
